I ordered the book We Don't Die by Catholic medium George Anderson, hopefully it will get me out of this horrible religious mess I am in.

The Christians did not include the text because it did not match up to their doctrine. It actually sounds more like the Qur'an when it talks about people being in error for hanging all their sins on a dead man. Is that the concept in the verse below?
"And they praise the men of the propagation of falsehood, those who will come after you.
And they will cleave to the name of a dead man, thinking that they will become pure. But they will become greatly defiled and they will fall into a name of error, and into the hand of an evil, cunning man and a manifold dogma, and they will be ruled without law."
