The furniture (1920s) could be about right for the earliest jukeboxes of the type we've known in more recent decades. Here's a link:

Have you ever had an opportunity to find out when that building was constructed? And possibly when the first business was established there? These would be interesting things to find out... maybe the building was built in the 1920s or before. The city offices might have records about this.
Other people have told stories that are similar. Sometimes the history can be confirmed.
