It's funny am actually seeing the image of a small kid, giving up his pleasures to copy his mom as she works, he decides to come around and help her with her chores imitating and following by her examples. He sees you as hardworking and dedicated, so he feels he needs to adopt that maturity and 'sacrifice' his luxuries while accompanies you. Like great sacrifice for a higher path, and it's adorable.
