Have you considered that the origin of the doppelganger is from aliens cloning us humans? And if this is true, maybe aliens have something to do with the imminent death mentioned in the Legend of the Doppelganger. Granted, we have established that not all people experience imminent death, but I fear that the aliens came back to harm me after having seen my spirit-double. I believe that my Father God or Jesus had intervened to save my life.
