the deal is, to the extent there are things you think you MUST do, or to the extent there are things you think you CANNOT do, you have lost some free will because you will not allow yourself to make choices when you think that way. God said, early in the bible, if you think that way you will die.
IOW to get more free will, you have to give up something else you love. Conversly, continue to do the thing you love and give up some of your free will. Can't have it both ways, not right now.
