Do you have a period of withdrawal from the world, rest, just lying still and assimilating the energy shifts -after your massage? Or if not lying still, then spending some time alone sitting or walking gently in a garden or natural outside space?
And drinking a mild herb tea or water only for a few hours...
That might be a wise idea.

Or do you just come out of it and try to carry on with everyday life?

There are big energy shifts with this kind of thing. You will feel un-'earthed' for a short time.

Next time you have a session, plan it on a day when you can just rest. Some practitioners will do home visits which is helpful.
