I find it helps me if I sleep 4 hours, then get up, take a break for an hour, then go back to lie down. Every single time I will start to go out of body. For me it has to be 4 hours sleep initially. Less than that -I will just be too tired, and fall asleep when I go to lie down again. More than 4 and I won't be able to get into the vibrational state. I'll just be ready to get up and have coffee!

The lucid dream gateway never works for me. I am useless at it, get tangled in knots! The way that works best for me is a straightforward oobe from consciousness state with deep relaxation.

Another small thing...it helps if there is a little light in the room, either dawn light, or if it's dark outside, then a night light or protected candle
