There are many layers of energy in the physical body, just like there are in the aura, and in the whole universe. This one is somehow an intermediary one. Indeed it corresponds to the chakras.
Now there are more dense ones, as well as more subtle ones. For those, you may investigate respectively taichi, qigong, traditional chinese medecine(for the dense parts), and kabbalah, western magic(for the most subtle parts). Interestingly, Franz Bardon seems to includes all those to some extent in his method. It includes stuff from yoga, qi gong, classical kabbalah, and modern magic. I like it much for that, as well as for other things.
