On some level, I believed in reincarnation from around the age of 15 on. My children gave evidence of having lived past lives at very early ages. Like many here, traditional religious teachings didn't ring true for me. I had many dreams that seemed to indicate past lifetimes - not typical dreams, but dreams of an historical nature where I was "in" the body of the protagonist, not an observer. Then, I tried past life regression, and remembered many lives, including my name, dates of birth and death, and the names of relatives. I was able to research the more recent ones on ancestry.com. There were identities recorded that matched my memories. I don't think faith in the Divine, whatever your definition of "divine", precludes belief in reincarnation. They complement and reinforce each other. The Universe wastes nothing. Why should a soul be less precious than a blade of grass, or a drop of water?
