In Roman Catholicism there are four ways of interpreting Rev.
Littoral - where Jesus will talk us through it
Prereterite - where there's almost no mystery
Poetic - think about it
and Symbolic - do we have to think it through?
Granted any day anything could happen, or that eventually the evidence would be conclusive. The Popes as the false prophet? Absolutely yes! I see logic in that.
