With all due respect, you are comparing a bit of a bad dream with physically real interdimensional entities that can touch you and hurt you not just psychogically and physically as well. They may not be native to this reality, but they can reach into it from their higher-dimensional space-time and manipulate it for their own benefit. These beings are not figments of the imagination, they can easily pick you up and throw you around or burn you up if they so wish.
