I have to agree with your guess. The nature of experience is that it is individual. Even if 20,000 people all attend the same concert or the same ballgame each one experiences it individually. We might all have witnessed the same thing but each one of us processes it differently depending on our focus, our previous experiences that led to that moment, our cultural lens, etc etc. Do not discount the experiences of others....it was real to them. Sometimes we might have the opportunity "to dream the impossible dream" and if we do, first and foremost, it is our dream. When Jesus said you must be born again that birth experience might be beyond your ability to articulate but it will be your individual experience. When it comes to this you are no longer one amongst many but you will become aware that you are unique to God. And, by the way, this outlook informs my understanding of the Second Coming.....we will experience it individually.
