In other words, God did not say these words, because a true God would not be so ignorant so as to make false predictions, but rather, ignorant minds make false predictions/assumption/expectations/speculations which they say "are sent/told" by God which then do not come to fruition and then the people blame God for these false foundations/promises they themselves conjured up in their own minds and believed to be "the truth."
Proof is in the taste of the pudding, the reason these promises do not come true is for the simple fact that they are not true, which is validated by the fact that they do not come true. Its very very simple to see, not complex.

So, as I stated, it is a difthen ent world today, with all manner of unhealthy food at "our fingertips", so to speak, and also modern conveniences that allow for unhealthy lifestyles if we are not careful.
In addition regarding your post, close your eyes if you want, but again, the Dead Sea Scrolls find in 1948 validates our modern biblical texts; the various books written through the many ages which were first collected by the Essenes together, and then by the Nicene council later.
Why aren't scrolls like the Gospel of Thomas included in our modern texts? They are SPURIOUS. Discounted as such, because the actual author( s ) are unknown.
While spurious books may have some philosophical value, (or not) they are useless with regard to both Jewish history... and the topic of salvation; An important thread running through the 66 books, from Genesis to Revelation.
