This is honestly who I am. I understand that everyone is not this way and I have no thoughts on, if we "should" be vegetarians or not.

That's beautiful.
But why wouldn't this kind of compassion be a higher principle for all humans? An ideal to strive for?
That's how I see it. Am I wrong to strive for compassion? Am I wrong to expect it of others?
These are honest questions.
