I googled it, it's actually got a name - 'kidney agenesis' (dang, and I thought I might be able to get a condition named after me - I'll make it into the medical journal yet!). Yeah, you can live a perfectly normal and long life with the condition, just means you don't have an insurance policy I guess (and heck, what are family for if not for organ donations
).
