In that case, I don't think it's a guide because standing in a corner and pouting at you non-stop for whatever reason and startling you by randomly popping up somewhere doesn't exactly sound like something a guide would do. If guides were real, logic convinces me that they would promote hope rather than sadness because they are in in close proximity to God and have no reason to be sad. Unless, maybe they really hate their job of babysitting us mortals 24/7 (and I wouldn't blame them) although that is questionable because why would they agree to it in the first place?
Of course it's your call, but I believe the most reasonable thing to do would be to flip the bird at it and let it know it's not welcome. Because for all you know it could be that cat-eyed demon thing you mentioned a while ago, trying to find a loophole to enter into your life.
