My husband is a Scorpio and I think they get a bad reputation. I haven't heard or read that they are obsessed with sex. In fact, they are supposedly one of the more loyal/faithful of the zodiac signs (once they decide that they are committed, they are committed).
They apparently have bad tempers and a tendency to brood. My husband is one of the most mellow, level-headed people I know. He has the capability for that Scorpio intensity, but he picks his battles wisely (which Scorpios are not known for).
When we first got together, I figured that he probably had a more prudent, coolheaded rising sign but then we did his natal chart with his birth certificate (and his mother confirmed the accuracy of his time of birth), and his rising sign is also Scorpio!
His natal chart looks like this:

Rising: Scorpio
Moon: Cancer
Mars: Libra
Venus: Sagittarius
Mercury: Libra
His Venus sign (Sagittarius) also makes little sense. He had zero interest in being with someone he has little in common with, and he enjoys the comfortable relationship routines. I'm the one who has to get him off the couch.
