I love books like this, i love learning about what conditions may be like on the other side. Just can't put them down when i get started and it's the same with this book.
About half way through so far. For those who have seen the film and haven't read the book, its definitely worth a read. Expands on the conditions experienced after death much more than the movie and also the story is sufficiently different from the movie that is feels like a whole new story (well so far at least!)
My imagination/Spirit loves these tales and 'seeing' what may well be our existence/experiences when our time comes.

Dah, I had no idea there was a book.
I tell alot of people that the movie really gets it pretty right-on
as to what the afterlife is like.
I mean from my intuition and from reading 50 NDEs.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.
