The climate is / always has been changing. It's a component of the ecology. Altering the ecology in any way usually alters more of the ecology and air currents in the region. Pakistan is a classic example of human-induced climate change in that it hacked down about 70% of its forestry from the 70s onward. Now it's victim of copious floods, landslides and so on.
The problem is that the change is now accelerating. But if we stopped every ecologically distructive action now, the ecology would probably take upwards of 100 years to reach a new homeostasis.
