Through the child’s eyes
The struggle real to settle in
Close his eyes, rest and bring
Calm and comfort to the dark
The inner child
Loses spark
Loses the flame within to merge
Be in control of his inner world
Instead, the dark
Consumes his eyes
His mind becomes
A den of lies
To fully rest
To fully let go
The inner child
Cannot know
How to release
How to not get caught
In the fear of the unknown
Find his hurt
Find his way
Through the maze
Of self
Consumed by dark
Closed eyes that can’t be felt
Until he reaches deep inside
Finds the flame
To burn this ride
Burn up the hold
Of his hidden realm
Caught and trapped
He cannot meld
Melt into his sleepless hold
Let his eyes gently close
Where calm and peace
Joyful claims
Build his inner world
And Flame
To unravel mind, comforts heart
To release this bind we find his spark
Things to sing his praises loud
Release the deep of darkest night
(Dedicated to Riley
The seeker in motion of his life
Together we rise..)
