So, I've made the point "Master M", that the atoning practices and work that God had established early on, is the very foundation upon which Christ wrought Salvation for all of humanity.

Which you say your not interested in, and don't care about.
But, this is the very core of Christianity.

Guess you have formed something in your mind regarding the "original" Christians which Paul supposedly contrasts with, but Paul, having been converted by the risen Christ, was martyred for the faith, eventually, after going through many trials during his life as a believer.
Having spread the good news, establishing and building up the churches.

I may have not have properly explained my convictions yet, but when you say "what good is it then" that's quite eyebrow raising! Because i said the cross was about Jesus giving his life to us - is there anything greater than this? The gift of spiritual life
And the real core of Christianity, surely that is found in the word 'Christ' - the annointing of the spirit of God itself surely is really the core

I read Paul all the time, what other witness is there to the early church in Jerusalem? but that he emphasised things in his own way just like the other apostles did.

OK in a way I agree with the atonement, God came down and gave his life for us... that's pretty close surely! what am i missing?
