insects are a "lower life form", lacking in higher mental faculties...
perhaps you could provide that, and direct their behavior(?).
my instinct was that the insects might devour something(s), and your
angry reaction serves to underscore the idea that there are things
which are needing to be eliminated from your life. that would clear
space to be available for other, more desirable things.

I had the laptop on my table(as in real life, because currently I work lots on it). So maybe exactly too much work on this laptop should be eliminated from my life...
Of course, not completely. But maybe my mind gives me a sign that I shouldn't forget about my hobbie, private life either.
