To be noted are certain words by the Angel to Daniel in his vision.
He tells Daniel in Chapter 10 that he will share with the prophet what is written in the "book of truth".
Then he states,
"No one supports me against them except Michael, your prince."
???
To whom is he referring? Who also is, "them"?
Here is a picture of activity and the reality beyond what is normally percieved by human perception, and senses.
Likewise, St. Paul in his letter to the church in Ephesus declares in chapter 6, vs.12 that,
"We fight not against flesh and blood, but against powers, principalities...
spiritual wickedness in high places."
Most are ignorant of the powers behind the authorities, and the events in the world.
Earlier in chapter 10, the Angel, presumably Gabriel, tells Daniel that he is greatly esteemed in the Heavenlies; That when Daniel first set himself to fast and pray for his people, that Gabriel was dispatched to him, but that for 21 days he had to contend with the, "Prince of the King of Persia", before he was aided by the Archangel Michael, in order that he could appear to Daniel.
Again, reference to powers and principalities behind what is visible.
No mortal could contend with an Archangel like this.
To delay an angel's mission.
However?
Try to convince the atheist of these things in this sin sodden world.
