Just a little bit of info concerning goddess worship, Avalon.

I live in a very ancient landscape and, near to me, is a henge [ Thornborough Henge ] which is as old as Stonehenge and older than the pyramids, built about 5000 years ago. It was the spiritual centre of neolithic Britain. Around 5th century BC, it was in the territory of the Brigantes [ Celts ] and the goddess was Brigantia [ also named Brigid, Brigit ] She was a pan-European goddess honoured in all the Celtic lands. Last two years, I have celebrated Beltane there with local pagans and Brigantia is invoked - so not a goddess who has faded into history.
