My strange orphean quest
 

I have a recurring dream wherein I'm wandering through a large and bleak cistern (that I surmise is the underworld) searching for the shade of Maximilien Robespierre in an attempt to speak to him. The unfortunate part is that once I find him (if I do at all) I always either suddenly awake or am drawn into a completely different dream...as such I have several questions.

First,should I take this seriously as a plausible manner to communicate with a spirit,or should I simply assume it to be the product of a deranged mind? Secondly,if this is worth taking seriously,would lucid dreaming be advisable,or should I seek any further avenues in the world of wakefulness?

I had a dream long ago about a book that had a title something like 'K Human & The Orphen Glinted Species' that I think was about an alien race, never found any title remotely resembling it but never entered my head to check under 'Orphean' so maybe my own dream has a connection to that word,it has always stuck in my mind.

When a dream get THAT specific, and recurring on top of it, I take keen interest.

First of all, why Robespierre? What is your interest in him?

Second, that you are moved elsewhere when you find him could mean that you want him to show you / take you somewhere or something else.

Third, searching for a spirit to gain information is not unusual as such. Not the most effective way, since spirits might be having a reincarnation and be unavailable, but when it works it works.

A cistern is likely a metaphor. But it could be for the underworld, or for the spirit world in general.

There's nothing deranged about making this a quest. Maybe it it just your curiosity affecting your dreams, or maybe it is your spirit guides giving you a nudge.

If it was me, I'd turn to the books written by and about him - there's a vast library available if you can find them.
