Anyone can throw light on this based on experience, apart from what wiki says?

Well, I got the answer from a close friend, who asked Shiva and so am sharing for the benefit of all concerned.

Baphomet is a diety made incharge of the dark side of the universe by the Creator, to look after the lower realms. Black magic etc. , sometimes he pops up in other planes for jest.

I saw him and he looked at me too. Uneasiness to fear would be the emotions felt, to be honest. There were several doors and I was offered to peep through any, if I wished. Possibly sub-divisions or whatever. I politely declined and moved on.

In some cases, Siddhis may be offered and it’s best to sidestep and not lose focus of God realisation.

This is the big difference between God (however you one names Them) and Lucifer: God doesn't offer; They give. Lucifer offers and, should one accept, they would be indebted. This is why anyone seeking realization should do the same as you:
