Hey Pandora, thinking of you during this horrible fire season :(

Thanks to everyone for their good wishes. Here's to a good year ahead.

Hey tealily. We were surrounded on the north/north west, east and then the south and evacuated twice in September and October (on the second occasion, the blasted car broke down) ... we were the first area to be hit. A nightmare evacuating with a dog, two cats and a chicken and her chicks that had just hatched.

Thankfully we got a couple of days of rain not too long ago, so they're finally out. Our area is now pretty much burnt out so I don't think we'll have any more major problems for the rest of the season. Went exploring at the back of my property over Christmas ... trees are starting to come back.

Hope you're not in VIC at the moment ... or SA for that matter. Oh wait ... or NSW or WA ... :icon_eek: Actually, I think Tassie is the only state not affected at the moment ...

Hope you had a lovely and Merry Christmas, Pandora! Ours was lovely, but glad to be back home to celebrate the New Year! :D


Oh boy, that sucks! Sorry you all are going through that choas. Northern California is no stranger to these crazy wild fires. Our whole town has turned smoky awful before. It's really a psychological mind fudge. So my thoughts are with you all!! Wishing you all more RAIN!
