Buddha's life and the major arcana

I found it interesting that there are several similarities between the evens of buddha's life and the classic tarot major arcana, although I can't list them all or even in chronological order as I admittedly skipped some parts in the story:

The fool - As a prince buddha did not know sickness, old age, and death and was kept a fool in the palace.

The chariot - He went out on the city streets in a chariot, where he discovered people being sick, etc.

The lovers - He married a young girl named Gopa

The hermit - He became a hermit of sorts

The hangman - He underwent severe ascetic practices

Temperance - Could be Sujata giving him rice milk, and angel pouring some kind of liquid?

Death, Devil and Tower - I believe it could be linked to the moment just prior to his enlightenment (apparently he mentally fought the god of evil)

World - Where he became enlightened

Not too sure about empress, emperor, magician etc though? I'm not saying that tarot was inspired by buddha's life, but that it could be the "normal" route to enlightenment? I don't know tarot nor buddhism very well, just spotted some similarities while reading about both
