Do Spirits Keep Their Body Form After Crossing Over?
 

I was curious about this, because some medium websites seem to claim that spirit energy just becomes basic energy after the spirit crosses over, while others write that your spiritual form is a carbon copy of your human (or whatever living thing) form. Which is true? And if it's true, does this change after crossing over?

They could if they want, but most, advance themselves and change accordingly, but if you meet them they will form back to the way you knew them for your benefit.

Yes of course they keep their form. It is just of a higher vibration. Mediums will say anything without knowing how energy works!

Since the afterlife is a world of pure energy-information, there are no shapes, but with your individual soul you can create your own shape with your own intent if that is important for you. Otherwise you don t need to create any shape. Other light beings can create shapes so that you feel better in case that makes you feel better.

But of course on finer and finer 'levels' it is possible to be form-less.

I have been told you can keep your body form, but every thing it is so different after crossing over, there are so many other things that come into play as well :D

We can keep our body form to some extent - it's not a physical body but is more of a mental construct that others can see if they have the ability to do so. In the physical realms our name and our body look/type is part of our identity and how we recognize each other. On higher realms it is the type of energy or combination of energies which represents us - it's sort of like a smell, not a smell but how a smell represents something in particular. In spirit form we can enhance (bring more energy) to the look we had while in physical body for identification reasons.

A common reason to do this would be (were we crossed over into non physical realms and in spirit form) desiring to contact someone still in body, perhaps via a medium. The medium being able to describe us a little to the person we were wanting to reach would help identify us so that we could move a message to them without them freaking out.
For example:
Medium: "I'm seeing a middle aged woman, wears dresses and short pumps, has a hat on, has a warm excited energy, very enthusiastic about things, I see roses and desserts near her and there's something about a little brown dog? This person knows you, they are no longer on the earth plane and have crossed over, something about their heart...."
Person "Oh, that's my Aunt Mildred! She had a heart attack 12 years ago, she was my favorite Aunt, we used to take her little dog for a walk in a park with lots of rose bushes and stop for dessert at a pastry shop on the way home!"
Medium: "She wants you to know she has been following your studies and is proud of you, she says your relationship with your father will become closer if you can try to understand why he had to make the choices he did - see it from his view point, it will help you to soften your heart.... and so on and so on".
The message can have profound and specific meaning for us if we can recognize the person and trust the relationship we had with them. So in Spirit form it can be very useful to form the energy into a way which represents the physical appearance we had while on earth for identification reasons.

If you can see past lives you would find that there is a tendency to stay with a particular body type when coming into body. Perhaps tall and thin, or short,stocky and powerful or any combination. We seem to get comfortable with a certain body type and return to that body type for a while for multiple lives. This adds layers to the spirits ability to be able to form a mental construct of the body type for identification reasons should one desire too. Again this is a whifty energy construct though, sort of how we imagine ghost to be - there is no solidity - it's just energy coalescing.

Higher vibrational beings will present in other ways, again depending on many factors. I've seen them present as platonic solids in specific color ranges. While I can't decode what that means exactly I understand that these represent Higher Knowledge, each shape meaning something specific and each color representing another information set - these form a sort of identity, name, occupation or level of knowledge. Many will present as glowing orbs of certain sizes and radiating certain colors - again this is represents their essence for recognition.

So one can suppose though the evolution of consciousness that presenting in roughly human form is not used later on when one evolves out of desiring to study further in the human re-incarnation cycle/earth plane, and other mental constructs become more the essence of who a spirit is and thus how they will be 'seen, smelled, heard' or felt by others when not in a physical body.

When we pass away our soul travels on not our bodies.the body is no longer needed

The etheric vehicle accompanies the dead physical body for exactly three and one half days,that is the time,earth time it takes for the silver cord to sever,all the information about the deceaseds life on earth this time around and for every other incarnation is stored in the silver cord,the silver cord is made from 3 parts,its is severed only when that information is retracted?
