I am a scorpio. I noticed we have some psychic abilities. I am trying to perfect it. Any advice or opinons what it is to be a scorpio? :D

hello dear. I am not a Scorpio Sun sign so I can't claim to relate in that sense, but I wanted to post in here because I have a lot of Scorpio in my chart including my Moon sign, which many say is nearly the same importance as the Sun and Ascendant signs.. and also I have a daughter turning one soon who is a Scorpio. She was born the same day as my sister, so you can guess my sister who is a year younger than me is also a Scorpio.

I'm guessing from your name ScorpioRising that you've familiarized yourself with the rest of your chart besides your Sun sign. I'd like to learn from other Scorpios so I can better understand myself and my daughter, but it's good to know what other signs are playing roles in someone's chart and personality/life too so if you want to share any more of your chart placements please do.


well my daughter is a Scorpio Sun and Moon and Midheaven all conjunct around 28 degrees. that is pretty cool huh? I am still figuring out what exactly that will entail but it's extra amazing considering I was the one who gave birth to her lol and how it just so happened she chose that time to come with that seemingly strong triple conjunction. She also has her Venus and Jupiter in Scorpio. Aquarius rising, Sagittarius Mercury and Libra Mars, with North Node Leo in case there's any curiosity about the rest of her chart.

As for me I am a Libra Sun, with Scorpio Moon, Venus and Pluto all conjunct 0/1 degrees, that being in the 7th house with my Sun, and then in the 8th house I have my Saturn and South Node in Scorpio. Pisces rising, Virgo Mercury, Sagittarius everything else except Capricorn Jupiter

sorry I know you didn't ask but whatever parts of me like to share a lot of information lol.. so anyways, let me think what I would say about what it means to be Scorpio, at least in the placements I have or my understanding of the sign...


there comes a point where your life will become much better upon realizing that it's pointless to suffer and dwell in darkness. now there can be much gained from playing in shadows, but the point is to realize there are two choices. and working toward positivity and lightness is worth it. sometimes it might seem harder but it gets easier. they both take work, only the more negative side takes a toll and sinks you while the other can elevate you. It's said one of the numerous manifestations of Scorpio is the phoenix; rising from the ashes. it's wonderful to not be afraid of the fire and embers, but perhaps playing in the ashes rather than emerging from them is where too many get stuck and lost. but once you've sunk into darkness and dire depths, it can make everything else much more beautiful, if chosen to be appreciated.

being grateful is one of the top gifts in life. and you know how it's argued you can't have good without bad light without dark etc.. it may be true, but it comes down to how you look at what is bad or dark. and it's not really bad, mostly things are just misunderstood and misguided. and perhaps that's where the greatest gift of Scorpio lies. being able to see through the shadows and make something more of them. to brush away the ashes and see the golden eggs left behind and help hatch what's inside.

it can be difficult being so deep and more concerned with many matters others might seem flaky or aloof about. but if we remember we are divine creations with purpose and promise we can just see what good can come and be or is already there hiding. and for me personally I've struggled with the notion of myself not being good. but while I've ruffled pretty many feathers and tore some out trying to help lol (Virgo and Sagittarius placements likely contribute to my outspokenness and deeper detail orientation) I have golden intentions and surprise myself sometimes but I think that Scorpio placements when actualized make someone very genuine. not sure if it's ok to call yourself genuine and expect to be believed lol but it's true. I try to help people a lot and want what's best.. but the interesting thing is I question myself and am too aware of some things, I guess I challenge myself and wonder if I am really as good as I seek to be,

those voices can get pretty loud and annoying,, but we've got to give ourselves a break and also of course others. important for me to keep in mind and I'm still learning and practicing, I am really sensitive in ways but also am pretty hardcore lol.. so I am willing to take it, but not everyone wants you to dish it even if it's for their best good. many can't see what is better for them or what is not right and they may not be interested in finding out. but I see so much wrong and there are often easy ways to fix stuff or better ways to go about something. I love learning and improving myself and perhaps assume others are the same way. but everyone has different styles even if they are similar in that sense. well I could go on but I'm not sure if my next statements about nonsense have more to do with Scorpio or my Pisces rising and other placements.. I was just going to say I am blunt and no-nonsense in certain ways, but I also am frivolous and nonsensical and magical and love fantastical things. and I also love nature very deeply. I actually spent a lot of time learning how nature literally heals us and all the potential we and it have. lol sometimes it is like I am tasting the soul of flowers and trees and stuff when outside because I just gaze and love them so much and try to be present and appreciative of the amazing reality that exists. sometimes it takes reminder for me to give back and appreciate in that way rather than just taking for myself. though I am sure nature appreciates any appreciation as consciousness and life on Earth in general loves this love

I think we have many gifts, we see and notice everything, we're not afraid to dive deep into the ocean of our own emotions (hopefully there aren't sharks around haha).. Our intuition works perfectly, when we do listen to it..

Virgo sun, Scorpio moon here. Out of all the sun signs I've always found Scorpio suns the most difficult to get along with. I work with a few Scorpio Sun's, I get along okay with them but I keep my distance. I have a lot of Scorpio in my chart, I'm very private and I don't trust to quickly. Of course theirs a lot more to Scorpios but from my experiences I find them hard work.

I'm Aquarius sun and Scorpio rising. I find this makes people cautious of me and sometimes really dislike me at first. Lol. My aquarian side usually wins people over though. I like the scorpio suns in my life however they are tough to crack. I have one neighbor who is a libra sun but almost all his other placements are in scorpio and he is one of the meanest and most manipulative people I know. Definitely doesn't show the positive traits of scorpio.

I have a family member who is Scorpio rising. He's ascendant is on the cusp with Libra. He says he's a Libra rising....i say no way, he's a Scorpio rising for sure, he has them Scorpio eyes....scary eye's :biggrin:

I don't feel Scorpio Moon makes someone like a Scorpio.
My ex had Scorpio Moon, and is what goes best with me and my moon allegedly. He was nothing like a Scorpio.

I've known a few Scorpios in life. They're manipulative, full of themselves (and don't always seem to be aware of this?), and I find them ruthless.
Maybe they are deep, which is what makes them scary. They can brood on things, keep that from you, but on an energetic level you can feel it, although they're masters on keeping even that hidden from you if they choose to.
Scorpios can be masters at energy work, there's no other sign that's so strong. Which is great if they're empowered and have a good heart. If not empowered and not balanced, not so much.
I've had one shoot off energetic 'arrows' at me -not even deliberately-, and bleep did that hurt!!
I had another -her brother- attack me psychically. He was only a teenager at the time, but I had my hands full to kick him out of my system. He DID do that deliberately, he knew exactly what he was doing. Very manipulative boy, with a lot of psychological problems.
Can be very sensitive to other people being in their energy (yet they are in others' energy all the time), for instance when someone tries to read them. Even when they haven't learnt anything about this, they know it, feel it, and can shut anyone out.
From what I've noticed, Scorpios keep people out anyways. Difficult people to fathom.
My former shaman teacher was also a Scorpio. A very experienced witch. She had a lot of wisdom, but deep down I sensed something unpleasant in her as well. I never felt completely comfortable with her. Had she wanted to, she could've very easily turned all the energy and wisdom around to use it against someone. And I'm quite sure she wouldn't have hesitated to do so either if she felt it was necessary.

I personally am way too sensitive to be able to live with a Scorpio in my direct environment. They're too harsh, manipulative and intrusive with their energy. I don't think I've ever known a Scorpio who doesn't mess with another person's energy.
Not sure if they all do it deliberately.
Yet, for some reason or other, they seem to be very popular.
Something I cannot really understand, hihi. I mean, how can anyone like to be manipulated? My ex step-daughter was the worst. Everyone dreaded her coming over for visits, including her own father. He was scared of her.

I had NONE of the above problems with my ex with Moon in Scorpio. I've never met anyone in my life who gelled with me better than he did.
So I doubt having a Scorpio Moon makes you anywhere near the same as a Scorpio Sun.

Yes I agree, I don't consider myself to be anything like a Scorpio Sun. I find Scorpio rising people definitely give of that Scorpio vibe, but they are easy and soon drop it. Many years ago I worked close to a Scorpio Sun guy in a garage. He seemed a nice guy very polite most of the time. But it was in his eye's, his mouth was saying one thing but his eye's were saying something very different. He did eventually explode one day, he went into a massive jealous rage. I actually feel quite drawn to Scorpio, i admire them in a way, you know where you stand with them very quickly, but for whatever reason I seem to anger them very much lol. All part of the fun I guess.

It won't be fun for you once and get stung. Don't mess with scorpio. I am one with very psychic abilties. I believe in forgiving people now a days as I have grown but if I wanted to get someone back it would be very bad. Again, I'm too old for that though.

Glad you are able to forgive nowadays. That's one thing I've found with very strong Scorpios, they don't forgive and never forget. I had a Scorpio friend id known for 20 years. He had a very difficult childhood, very introverted like myself which is why we became friends. A good guy but deep down very bitter about his past. If you said the wrong thing to him that was It, no 2nd chance. He will never ever change. We drifted apart eventually.

All that said, I take people as I find regardless of their sign. All the problems we meet outside ourselves are really inside so I'm told:rolleyes:

I have thought about the fact that they are most people's least liked sign. There's gotta be a reason for the fact Scorpios are the way they are since everything is Divinely orchestrated, and it IS typical that they really are most people's Nemesis, isn't it?
I've thought that maybe they have something specific to teach people as it's usually the worst teachers that bring the greatest lessons. That would also mean that there has to be a common theme to this lesson, something that can be tied to Scorpios character and/or what they stir up in people.

That what I said in my last post made me wonder if Scorpio is also one of the most common Sun signs. I looked it up, and there's no solid proof, but it is said that Scorpio IS indeed the most common sign, followed by Virgo and Gemini.

I looked that up as I wondered if they indeed have a specific lesson to bring by being everyone's Nemesis AND if they're the most common sign, this may have to do with the current process mankind is going through?

I have begun to consider the thought that maybe during different phases in time the most common Sun sign alters, according to what we need on the planet.
I have no idea if this is the case, nor if anyone has researched this, if this is even possible. You'd need quite a large time span to be able to speak of a trend and we didn't have computers until that long ago that make it easier to do this kind of research.
But it does make me wonder... Especially since I've also read a few years back that a soul chooses a specific Sun sign before incarnating as each sign comes with lessons.

I could do with a Scorpio when it comes to this aspect, lol. I got Venus in Aries and for many men this is a problem. Not just cos Aries is very fiery, but also cos it is very masculine, meaning when about the arena of intimacy I turn in a total vamp, very fiery, very passionate, very 'explosive' as in not really interested in boring long massages and stuff and I can tend to take control, although I am NOT dominant. It means I need a very strong, absolutely confident and empowered masculine man who can handle this.

I am totally different from that in other areas as I am ruled by Venus, and very feminine and sensitive with a Pisces Moon. But when me and a partner are about to get intimate... well, most cannot handle the total melt-down.
Sounds like I'm having fun saying this, but to be honest it is a REAL pain in the neck as I have yet to come across a man who can handle this aspect of me.
It is a HUGE obstacle in finding a partner with whom I click.
Even if a man's sun sign is Fire, like Leo, when his Venus/Mars is in a more sensitive sign, it's a disaster.
I've had that with my last two partners, one Venus in Pisces, the other in Libra... I think I scared the Bejesus out of them, which in turn is a huge painful thing for me to experience, feels like total utter rejection.
Maybe I could even scare a Scorpio Sun, haha, depending on his Venus/Mars.

I have angular Pluto cazimi, Pluto dominant too. Still no match for a Scorpio Sun though. I guess my Cancer ascendant takes the edge of things.

I think scorpio women are the #1 nemesis. They often are *****ier to other woman compared to other signs.

Not the mind reading per say, but the manipulation sure as heck! Scorpios are very powerful energetically and can be masters of manipulation, and powerful energy workers. I feel for them it's extra important to learn to channel this so it's not abused. I'm not sure they do it deliberately, although I know some do.

I think especially important to learn to deal with your emotions and learn to express feelings in a healthy way. Scorpios usually are very deep and very intense and also have problems with emotions and feelings, bottle it all up.
I think that's where the tendency to be manipulative and not so nice comes from as you are then prone to have ego and knee-jerk reactions. Since they are also very powerful when it comes to intuition and energy work they can wreak a lot of havoc when that power doesn't get controlled and channeled in healthy ways.
So in that sense I think they can do an awful lot of good, but they have to learn to control and express their emotions and feelings etc. so this becomes possible.

Most people aren't empowered, so that's not a dig nor unusual. It's just that Scorpios have such intense and strong energy that if they let things come out unleashed it is far worse than when another sun sign does.

The Scorpios I've known... only 1 was very together. Can't say I ever noticed any vengeance-like anything or manipulation. We were good friends. Only Scorpio friend I've ever had, hihi.

Another was the worst ever, and only a teenager at the time, go figure. Extremely manipulative and fully aware of what he was doing, he could up to a point also read minds, he could see things and so on. But he also couldn't handle his emotions and was in deep trouble, had been since he was 10. Suicide attempt, drugs, booze...

One other, an adult woman, had her powers channeled, she was a witch. I trained with her and she was nice, great help, but I did feel that underneath there was this nasty energy. In a scary way because she had developed her powers so much, combined with Scorpio intensity, she was very strong. I'd never have dared cross her, haha.

Last example... adolescent self-absorbed biotch who expected people to worship the ground she walked on. Horrible person, cold, nasty if things didn't suit her. Yet she had loads of friends which I never understood. I mean, her own family feared her! I didn't, I just really didn't like her. The air seemed to freeze when she was around. Not joking.
Once I was in her cross-hairs. Phew... VERY unpleasant. I learnt then that you can shoot energetic arrows from your aura at another. That's what she did. It HURT!!!

I think you just had bad experiences with them. There was only one that i've met in which her energy was like you described. And i didn't even know her well. Like she was really nice to me but something about her seemed a little off. I felt like she can be very manipulative. Not a bad person overall though.

I agree that they can be quite intense but also very sensitive too. Most are very loyal and are only a problem if you get on their bad side.

I just recently had a scorpio man come into my life. I'm an aqua with scorpio rising and Pluto in my first house. I have never truly dated a scorpio male before but so far I really like him. He is very affectionate and gives me lots of attention so far. He is also really funny.

I don't know any Scorpios in my life-- at all. From all the water elements, I find Pisces to be the most open, loving and receptive.. Cancer women are very loving too. Scorpios, particularly the women, I just don't know any. Do Capricorns scare you away? We can be a little too ambitious/ competitive, if you don't like the challenge of getting petty than maybe your a very smart sign :laugh:

I met some male scorpians on this forum, they have easy go personalities and can be very funny. They are a good time to chat with. Supposedly Caps and Scorps are romantically competitive but I never met any..
