Account of a Spiritual practitioner

I chanced upon a long article written by a spiritual practitioner in Chinese. The article is an account of his personal journey and could serve as an interesting read.

I decided to translate and share his account as they are rarely found in western literature. I can't verify the authenticity of his account and hence, please read it with an open mind.

Enjoy!

This is the second thread you started with links to your translations. I've just browsed the two links from the other thread and they don't seem of interest to me.

Could you please explain, in a couple of short paragraphs, why do you recommend those, and these too?

There are so many people sharing their beliefs, originals, or parroting others, and it's easy to waste one's time on things one shouldn't. It's also easy to overlook valuable contributions.

Thanks.

Hi,

Good question. I never believed in imposing my beliefs on other but I believe in offering something for others to read and think. One man's gem is another man's thrash..... Do not believe me or any other people's view. It is up to yourself to determine the trash from the gem.

Maybe I should elaborate on why I am sharing these articles. These articles are the personal account of people who walked on the path of spiritual cultivation. From their experience, they offer us a glimpse of what is expected if we walk their path. Their path is universal and not restricted to any religion, practice or belief.

However, I notice that such accounts are very different from what I read in western literature. It could be only read by people who knows the local language (Chinese) as such accounts are rarely translated into English.

By translating into English, more people will have a greater understanding of what is spiritual cultivation, at least from the Asian traditional sense.

More importantly, such articles have helped me in my quest to understand myself better and strengthened my resolve in my path. Hopefully, somebody can benefit from such articles.

That's all.
