earthly afterlife
 

I once walked a long distance at night with a heavy backpack and by morning I was so exhausted. I played down in the grass in a quiet park and I could sense the consciousness of earth. I could see many shadowy figures standing in the light and I said in my mind "earth-bound spirits" and I began to drift across the world in my mind seeing shadows everywhere I went and travelling through time but remaining only in forests and parks away from cities and people.

when I woke up from my trance I began to draw patterns and numbers and phrases on fragile dried up leaves with a sharpie. then I picked up a stick and drew numbers and symbols and codes like - -- --- -- -- --- -- - on the whole stick. there was a pile of feathers beside a tree and a rolled the end of the stick around in the feathers until they scattered in the wind. as I walked away I tripped and broke the stick in half. I left it where it broke and still have the other half at home.

But regarding the first part of this.
Was this a vision of death?

Not so much of death, but rather what I call the non physical earth realm, which is full of spirits, which are not ready to move on. They are still attached to the earth and the mind.
