Vanadinite Toxicity

Appearantly some crystals , metals or stones contain lead.. there are many examples like galena but appearantly Vanadinite contains lead as well

Articles claim you need to avoid touching it altogether and wash your hand if you do. I have read some messages from people that claim its toxicity is overrated.

What is your experience or what do you think ? Would be a shame if it's this toxic i would love carrying it arround.

Interesting subject, I bought a piece of Erythrite which I have read contains Arsenic (a poison). I've bought this for a xmas gift for my mother but I'm certainly going to warn her that she mustn't handle this stone without washing her hands afterwards. I'm still in two minds about letting her have it but my mum very rarely handling any crystals/gemstones that I give her, she just keeps them by her chest of drawers next to her bed.

Worst stones i have seen are pieces or serpentine that contains asbestos. Silver eye is a type of serpentine which got layers of asbestos which causes the white effect. This also include atlantisite. Galena is another one which is really strong in toxic compounds.. if you carry it every day you are into some real trouble

Don't know about arsenic how much is in the stone and how fast it enters the body. I do know that minerals containing lead can be easily absorbed and accumulated into the body. Galena contains high amounts of lead.. vanadinite i'm not sure... one person carried it every day for years but says he never had any problems. maybe the lead content varies.

There are no natural poisons in my opinion. Lead probably is not even dangerous.

Marijuana is more like a poison, I hate that stuff! It must be some sort of modified plant. ☮️☮️☮️

I would personally be more worried about radiated stones, whether it be natural or not.
A lot of fibrous potentially dangerous material is safe for handling when tumbled by the way.
