Babylon had Fallen, what's the meaning behind this statement at Revelation 18, and who was it referring to?

Revelation 18 says that Babylon was a great city. The way it describes that city makes it far and away the greatest city on earth. Merchants will make their riches off her. Merchants who were the world's great men.

Only one city comes to my mind in our generation. But we don't know when the prophecy expressed in Revelation will happen.

Revelation is about the international happenings of mankind going through the awakening process

Babylon, in the Book of Revelation 18 ,is referring to the Fall of ALL false religions. (verse 11 of 18 says “And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore”), what you're referring to here. Is speaking of the money, “merchants”, stores, manufactures, businesses ,etc. brings in from the MANY religious holidays. But also the MANY religious items used. In the sense of weeping, once false religions are done away with. There will NOT be anyone to buy their items.

How we know it's NOT referring to an actual city. Is the fact that a literal city can NOT commit fornication with humans. Though NOT speaking literally either). Yet Babylon, or false religion has done so with the “kings of the Earth.” there were ONLY “KINGS”, in the days of old, still some today. But it's basically referring to all Government officials. (verse 3*For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury”). MANY religions and their followers seem to align themselves, with governmental laws that goes against Jehovah God and Jesus. peace

the Book of Revelation, in it's entirety, is referring to what's happening during the time of the END, which is now. and what will soon happen. but what "international happenings" and "awakenings" are you referring to? do you mind explaining? :smile:

I hear you! :smile: remember in Jesus time, when the Pharisees, who suppose to have been worshipping the same God Abraham did. refuse to believe Jesus was the Son of God? and Paul who believe that his Spiritual teachings were total truth. to the point that he made sure he had a hand in arresting Jesus true followers ,(Acts 9:1,2 Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest. and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem).

MANY I've heard, believe ALL religions leads down the same path, NOT true! This is why ALL who wants to know Jehovah God and follow Jesus. Is warned to get out of “HER”,( False religion) ,(Rev.18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues). peace

I understand your devotion, but even JW is ruled by masons.. I will dare to say that almost all christian denominations that have achieved a global status are ruled by masons. I read once about how there are pumped millions and millions of dollars every month to pay all the JW representives all around the world, all this money coming from the most powerful people on the planet, the bank rulers.

On one hand, the masons rule most of the human society, promoting through their puppets many anti christian things and on the other hand, they fund many christian denominations, don't you find this strange?

This is why I said, read the scriptures on their original languages and don't use people's interpretations to understand what's written there, have an open mind and see for yourself what's there, well, this is what I am going to do.

They have been known to use the word ' Grand Master ' in some of their older Bible translations.
