Do my thoughts travel faster
Than the spoken word ?
Can you feel my presence
Before a word is heard ?

Can you feel me close
When I am so far away ?

If my thoughts could speak
Do you wonder what they would say ?

And if your thoughts could answer
Would I hear them clearly
Or would they just wander astray ?

Do my thoughts travel faster
Than the speed of light ?
Can you hear them immediately
Or do they linger thru the night ?

Can you feel me close
When you are so far away ?

If your thoughts could speak
Would you whisper softly in my ear ?

And if my thoughts could answer
What is it you would like to hear ?

Do my thoughts travel faster
During the night or during the day ?
If you had your choice,
Do you have a preference either way ?
