We are actually spirit beings living life as a human being. Due to us all being spirit being's, our connection with the divine or God makes us all one and the same, beings of light. Those in the world of spirit can only see our spirit body due to the vibration on which their world consists.

If you had the ability to tune into the vibration of the spirit world, you would be able to either see her and/or hear he as she was in the physical world, that's assuming she wanted you to, as the choice is hers to make.
