Celtic Roots
 

As the horizon calls me home
through a mist all alone
the valleys and dales
carry my trails
Over lands
I have come
to a place where it begun
my homeland by the sea

A place just for me
where the shadows I see
lead to a window
I feel the gentle breeze
My time was but short
I never realized
that the homeland I sought
was never to deny

The roots of my tree
the clan in me
that awakened the space
I could never see
My Celtic foundation
my inspiration
Lost through generations
It was never taken

As I sit and take in
all the lands of my kin
I see treasures that were born
through my naked forlorn
Nothing left my space
recreated without haste
each step coming around not torn

In time my roots seal my fate
where it is never to late
to step back into time
bring alive the divine
the roots of my kin shrine

Taking it all in
I give all that I know
in time with kindred flow
to the passage of time
that leads me to find
that all is right now
hesitation is never how
reclaiming is found

So over hills and dales as I roam
I continue on home
with the heart of my sea
deep inside me
never losing the view
of my kindred breeze

AS the winds take me far
my home is in heart
no more shall I drown
no more shall I frown
as the lands bring me down


The Celtic sea and me
will always be one
Nothing will be lost
nothing will come undone
My home in heart
brings the Celtic harp
into every channel of my eternal spark
