Self Redemption vs God Redemption

Self realisation is a form of self redemption. Through meditation and spiritual discipline people can redeem themselves.

Christ offered much more. He offered to redeem the human race. Christ is far more than a self redeemed man. He can redeem anyone who believes in Him.

Christians hope for a redeemed humanity. And a redeemed earth. They aim higher than their own redemption. Sure every Christian hopes to be redeemed personally, but they also hope for the redemption of the human race and the earth.

The New Age and Hinduism offers everyone the possibility to redeem themselves. Which is Good. Christianity and Christ offers the redemption of everyone and everything. It casts its net wider.

It is a subtle difference but it is important. No self realised man offers to redeem others. Only Christ does that. That is why is He is greater than a self realised man.

' He can redeem anyone who believes in Him. '

What about those who don't believe in Him ?????.

“Whoever seeks peace and the good of the community with a pure conscience, and keeps alive the desire for the transcendent, will be saved even if he lacks biblical faith, says Benedict XVI”

Well said Pope Benedict....

I am not sure about those who do not believe in Him. Maybe they are left with self-redemption. It probably is possible to redeem oneself. But whether it is the same as being redeemed by Christ I am not sure.

Jesus left the physical to ascend to the spiritual with his father/God. He left unfinished business upon the earth and is yet to return to fulfill the word/gods promise to his people. However the bible is not the only way, the law sides with love so, the law will only put you in a place that you love. Evolution for example is an independent path strictly for those whom love it. That is one of many ways separate from the bible. Past lives is another way. Alien life is another way. If it's what you love then so shall it be. Amen

Do you believe but think you don't?
Why?

The survival instinct...
Who in sane manner violates it?

Even Peter took Him aside and told Him to knock that stuff off.
What did Jesus tell Peter?

You don't know what your saying.

as long as you want to sit inside a box, there you are sitting inside a box. Dare to go out of it though and everyone will tell you you are insane for not doing things the 'right' way.

What does that mean? Who is it directed at?
