New to Crystals
 

Hi all! I am brand new the crystals. I find it a bit overwhelming. I never quite know which crystal to pick for what situation. I started sleeping with crystals under my pillow. I’ve never been a sleep talker but when I had amythyst and black obsidian, my boyfriend said that I was saying crazy stuff in my sleep. Last night I slept with selenite and I didn’t. Thoughts? I appreciate any tips you can offer for somebody just starting to explore this.

In my opinion, the basic crystals to have are quartz, amethyst, rose quartz and obsidian. That group can be used for healing. After that, I selected crystals according to what I needed. A popular reference book for crystals is The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall. My favourite book is Crystal Healing (or it might be Crystal Healer, can't remember right now) by Philip Permutt as it stays with the basics and crystals that are easier to find and buy.
