I have also at times believed the light to be a trap. The theory goes that we should not enter the light because its a trap and i don't want to tell more about the theory here because its so negative. If someone wants to know they can google the thing but i don't recommend doing so. Anyways in my opinion there's no need to go into any light. People has visited the afterlife during astral travel and you never hear them having to cross into any light to go there. Some people do go through a white light at death but we all have free choice where to go. However the light isn't a trap so don't worry. I don't know what the white light is but it causes people to feel love and its not artificial love, that's just nonsense.

When I die - if I awaken to another reality, I will do much the same as I do in life. I will follow my inner higher heart and intuition as it guides my soul where it needs to go.
If there is light where love guides me, I will go there. If love guides me elsewhere, I will go there instead.

Otherwise I will simply die and rest forever in peace.
