Simplicity

Why talk to them about Tao?
They eat when they are hungry,
They sleep when they are sleepy.

Beautiful!

The grass bends in the storm, and is unchanged.
The tree stands firm, and is ripped from the earth,
Be one with whatever is,
Not resisting, not asserting, unchanged,
moving with the flow.

Sitting quietly,
Doing nothing,
Spring comes,
and the grass grows all by itself.

Sometimes, I sit and think.
Sometimes, I just sit.

I like the idea that the way to do the impossible is to forget that it is impossible.
An old Taoist monk was often seen absent mindedly walking through stone walls as shortcuts to where he was going. When a young monk told him what he was doing was impossible he replied, "Yes, I know but I keep forgetting".
