The Cherokee legend of "tiny people"?
 

So recently I seen a news story about a book a lady had written about the little/tiny people legend that the Cherokee Indians passed down. I live in western north Carolina, I assume they lived all over the place. But the author stated she had proof they existed- their underground tunnels ran underneath the local collage. The Cherokee called them the moon people because that's when they tended to their gardens and whatnot. I also heard you are not suppose to speak of them after dark and if you do they can be mean/mischievous and one story even mentioned them taking children!?

What are your thoughts on them? Any information?
