EFT - Emotional Freedom Techniques - Meridian Tapping

EFT- EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUES - MERIDIAN TAPPPING

"EFT often works where nothing else has.” - Gary Craig, EFT Founder

Emotional Freedom Techniques - EFT - also called Meridian Therapies or Meridian Tapping - is an amazingly effective healing method, with clinical proof that it can eliminate negative emotions and beliefs and self-judgment, physical and emotional pain, bad habits, past trauma and abuse, anxiety, fears and phobias, migraines, and often even helps to heal physical injuries and illnesses.

EFT uses healing affirmations along with specific acupressure points to release unwanted patterns from the mind and body.

EFT may be used to treat any difficulty, pain, negative pattern, conflict, block, painful memory, health problem, or relationship issue… or to remove obstacles in achieving personal, performance, or spiritual goals.

For successful EFT we need look into every specific feeling, belief and memory about each issue. You may begin with the most obvious feeling or symptom, then work through all the various aspects.

Sometimes pain, headaches or surface emotions can be cleared very quickly and EFT is known for its One Minute Miracles. But these tend to be rare and if the first few tapping rounds don’t seem to be working it’s important go for more… with persistence and exploration.

To get the most from EFT one needs to explore each issue thoroughly, with an intuitive and creative attitude.

This method is easy to learn and easy to use for oneself, and there are many trained practitioners around the world who often work effectively even over the phone.

It’s important to learn to do EFT correctly from studying a book or watching a full length video or from an experienced person, rather than from a little YouTube blog.

An excellent book is, “Discover the Power of Meridian Tapping“ by Patricia Carrington, and there are many others.

Here are two sites with basic explanations and instructions:

Children like EFT because it helps them feel better fast, and it even works for infants and animals using yourself as surrogate. This often convinces skeptics since there can be no placebo effect with them.

Although EFT may sound too good to be true, literally millions of people around the world now attest that in their own personal and professional experience it is… true.

xan...

Perhaps you can help me ... I don't quite understand the process after the setup statement. I've read and seen some videos where the instructor states multiple statements when doing the tapping sequence. Maybe you can help me come up with some statements, and tell me WHERE on the tapping sequence I'd say them.

My cat Max, was jumped on by Bounder about 3 1/2 years ago when Bounder came home very late one night. I think it was a case of misplaced aggression and Max was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Max is now afraid of Bounder and since my husband woke him up from a deep sleep to pet him in the basket in our bedroom, he will no longer come into our bedroom. Up until that point, Max would come in even if Bounder was asleep on the bed. Up until this summer, Max was quite agoraphobic. But when I was out in the back yard, I made it a point to take him with me. Eventually, he began to ask to go out in the backyard but would become quite frantic if we didn't leave the door open.

He also has stopped using the catboxes in the two bathrooms (where they've always have been) and was peeing in the kitchen on a dish towel or other inappropriate places. I took a urine sample in and it was free of crystals and bacteria. I finally put a litter box in our livingroom (I don't like this and would like to end this soon) and Max happily uses that box as do the other 3 cats (sigh!!).

Max will hiss at Bounder when he looks at him or looks like he's going to walk toward him. This doesn't happen at meal time or in the morning when I get out of bed and all 4 cats are milling around outside my bedroom. Bounder has swatted at Max and jumped on him a few times in the last 3 years. Recently, I've begun taking Bounder and putting him in time out in a cat crate when it happens. Our dog Willow will run to Max when he hears hissing. She puts herself between Max and Bounder like a body guard. Max is going on 12 years old and I would like to reverse this fear and get him to stand up to Bounder like he used to. Bounder has always played rough, even as a kitten. Salem and Max eventually refused to play with him at all. When Patches finally came along he finally had a playmate. She'll play as rough and dirty as he does and adores him to boot.

I've done reiki on Max as well as dose him with Rescue Remedy but it hasn't addressed the trauma or removed it. I'd appreciate any thoughts you have on Max.

iolite... I don't have time to give you a full answer right now about Max.

However, I strongly suggest you learn more about EFT by reading a good book on it, such as the one I mentioned by Dr. Carrington.

Xan,

How long is it supposed to take before a person gets results?

Results can be almost instantaneous but much depends on the proper setup, the phrases which are used and on the complexity of the problem.

In some cases people may even feel worse. Tapping may trigger what is called 'aspects'. They are issues which are related to the problem but are not immediately seen as a primary problem, but they have to be tapped on in turn.

Example: Tapping on a money issue, sales not being what one wishes them to be.
Aspects of this may be insufficient product knowledge, or lack of people skills, or insufficient confidence, or an aversion to selling, etc. Tapping on the 'primary' issue will not be effective until all the aspects are resolved. However, skillful tapping on the money problem should bring up the various aspects fairly quickly and then they can be dealt with.

EFT is a much simplified form of TFT [ Thought Field Therapy - the Callahan Technique ]. This requires the services of a trained practitioner. Often used as an add-on to Acupuncture/pressure. Look it up
