When I checked my Facebook in the morning the person in question had tagged me in a post 5 mins earlier. we haven't been communicating much lately so that is really strange. I am wondering if the bad sleep was a sign that the negative thought were the wrong path and I should keep focusing on the positive and meditating/ manifesting?

Imagine giving power to every negative thought, that would not be a way of living, right? Thoughts have power over you only if you give them this power, I too experience sometimes some "negative" things while meditating, you know, negative thoughts, but I do not focus on them, and they simply go away.
Maybe your subconscious mind tried to tell you something, think about it, or it was nothing, just some thoughts..
Many people who meditate experience negative thoughts/images while meditating :)
