mamma, 4 months today since you passed away. it still doesn't seem real. people keep saying 'well at least she's not suffering' this is true but i don't like it when they say 'she's in a better place now' actually, no you're not. the better place is here still with us mamma. in this day & age 63 is no age to passing away. me & dadda still know you're about & he feels you next to him at times which is good for him as it gives him comfort. i'm doing the best i can for him & always will although he does tell me off when i try & boss him about like you did. lol

I'm sorry to hear of your loss Debbie:hug2: I can not imagine how it must be for you. It's true, we do tend to say 'They are in a better place' but that doesn't take away that feeling of a total void.
My mother is still with me, but her health is failing each passing day, we all prepare ourselves, but, I know how great a loss this can be, a huge part of our life taken from us.

thanks tricia. it's harder for dad as he wouldn't accept she had terminal cancer & had convinced himself she was going to be cured! although she was diagnosed in april & given 18 months to 2 years she actually passed away suddenly 12 weeks into her diagnosis. it was a shock cos she was walking about & laughing & joking the day before & then.....she just went. so we weren't prepared for that at all.
i have a little urn with some of her ashes in & sometimes take her out. lol but not too often cos she always makes me spend lots of money when she's with me!!!!
i feel for you with regards to your mother. it is a great loss & no one can ever tell you different. so my thoughts are with you also.

May your pain be lifted and may the love between you and your precious mother ever be felt and expressed in your life. I too lost my precious mom... it's a pain like no other. This was in 2007, just after Christmas, and I miss her every day. Hold on to the love... that's what's real! Your mom still exists, and she still loves you and can feel your love for her. Keep talking to her and know that she hears you! And if you listen in the quiet stillness of your inner being, you may hear her answer you as well...

thanks everyone. just left my dads & it's one of those days when all he can do is cry bless him. i have to stay strong for him cos i'm the only one he has got now.
he had a letter today from the funeral home, they have a special rememberance ceremony in december for all those who have died this year that they arranged funerals for & they send out invites to all the familes. i think this a great idea. dad wasn't sure about going but i've told him mamma would love it so we're both going.
