No path or practise required.

You are told so often that this or that has to be achieved for liberation. That there is this distance between you and your objective and given guidance as to how you may travel that distance.

In the spiritual supermarket there are many such stories offered to you (some even claim to be true:) along with only one story that requires nothing from you whatsoever for connection purposes. It is the non duality story that asserts that ALL is already complete just as it already is with no distance to travel at all for total unavoidable connection to the sublime no matter what your current state may be.

The latter is usually for those who have suspected all along that the answer is that things are already perfect just as they already are, or who have become disilussioned with progress on this or that path.

When I hear people say things like this, I always wonder whether they are just repeating second-hand information which they may or may not actually believe ?

Realization is not a belief or agreement. Yet if its something that brings you peace, it will do until the bottom of the pale breaks through.

Most will give instructions for a method, which is fine in itself, but many methods are geared to 'do this in order to get that', which is definitively volitional, and it is fine to do one thing to bring on some sort of spiritual exerience, but it directly contradicts the cessation of volition... which is the difference between 'as it is' and 'the way you want it to be'.

Ramana Maharshi said use a thorn to remove a thorn. I've noticed that all awakened claimants of non duality have all meditated.
Not all people who meditate are awakened but all awakened people have or do meditate lol,
that's like one the millions of quotations you find on Facebook,
like if your man says anything remotely wrong ..then he is probably not remotely a man...you know the stuff like that ..they all come from a quotation factory which is inside a mountain near Zurich ive been told lol...

There's two aspects with self realisation being one and purification being the other.

The former is something that can't be expected or anticipated, and there is no timely way toward it, because it is essentially you just as you are right now. In logic we'd say you don't exist as the menory of yourself nopr as the self you imagine becoming in the future, so this you is the real you, and that is the 'true state of consciousness'. Thus there is no approach to it. It is non-volitional, so there is nothing one can do.

The latter is regardless of the former. It pertains to purification of the life form, the healing, the resolution of past karma, the expiration of sankaras, or other way of describing it. That is a process of unfurling, and as the conditions for unfurling it arise, it manifests to the conscious awareness and dissolves. This is also non-volitional, but it is a volitionless process...

Some refer to the enlightenment as the former, but it's probably better to consider enlightenment to be the completion of the purification where one dissolves completely, having released all the potentials of their past volitions and ceased productions completely. That is upon final death at the end of birth/death cycles.

Yes that is often the response when there is no attempt at discussion but rather a wish to undermine views disagreed with.

Well whatever it is, it is not necessary for connection purposes, for what else is there other than Oneness to manifest as unrealised!?

Sure and many characters will find that to be a helpful way for them. Others may find that way to be a heavy burden and prefer a solution that requires nothing of them.

Oneness must enjoy the joke as both the purifier and that in need of purification, each the other and the One Love in Action dreaming difference where there is none:)
