Seeing Eagle in Dream like world/ Soul Merge?
 

I honestly didn't know what to classify this experience as but I thought this was close enough.

I remember closing my eyes for a short while and reawakening in my room only to find that I remembered I was still asleep but my room looked slighly different. Then a Golden Eagle appeared and flew on my bed. It landed on my lap and I reached out and started stroking it as it nibbled my fingers gently with its beak.

Then something strange happened and the next thing I was seeing my room through this Eagles eyes. Everything was zoomed in and almost 3D and had immense detail. I figured I had merged somehow with the Eagle but as I saw through it's vision I also had the thought that I WAS the Eagle.

Everytime I watch videos of Eagles in flight I can feel my soul stirring deep within.

What could be happening? Please Help!

That sounds exactly like meeting and connecting with a spirit guide. In shamanism they're referred to as Power Animals for the ability to give energetic power to their human, be it in the form of healing, spiritual insight, or an enhanced sense. Many shamans have been considered shapeshifters based on their habit of spiritually merging with an animal like this. In your case, you were being given a refined sense of sight. It's no secret that birds of prey have sharp sight, and it's a logical gift for them to share. In a handful of Native tribal beliefs, Eagle is considered the form that Great Spirit (God) takes, and often that eagle is specifically a Golden Eagle. One of the spirits I often commune with is a Golden Eagle as well, and she's a very reliable, potent spirit with a protective energy, so it's a very good thing that you're having one reach out to you. Just sit back and relax, you're being shown something that will help you. Continuing to watch videos of them and listen to their cries is a great way to reach out to them: observe their actions and life and see if you can get an idea of what they're trying to show you through example.
