My hotel and a friend needing help
 

felt like post apocalypse. Didn't write it down in my journal. so a bit hazy.

Was in a multilevel hotel with my son surviving and a friend (from SF) was needing help from me. a lot of the dream was centered around trying to start a big rig truck to leave the building. towards the end of the dream felt like me and my boy were racing to escape from her?

there was also a lot of importance on a specific part being needed and i had to fabricate a solution in the dream. If i remember correctly we did leave in the end.

the "multilevel" idea is involving 'layers of reality'... things with a particular
meaning on one level may well have different implications at another level.
the hotel is not your home, it's just a stop along the path in your life travels.
(what you've involved yourself with here isn't the main theme of your life story.)
the apocalypse is a 'great divide', separating all that went before from whatever
is to come in the future (i'm thinking of it as burning out and destroying much
of the landscape [the things of the past]). you've started by describing the
scene as "post apocalypse", yet seem to be escaping the ramifications during
the dream (as if escaping an impeding bomb-blast). layers.
the idea that you're rescuing your son from the scene feels to me as if you're
concerned with your legacy, ensuring that your life's work survives the events.
[you do that, but it seems hazing at the end there... meaning that that wasn't
truly the purpose for the dream.]
to "fabricate a solution" and create a specific part for yourself is the main
feature of this dream. you've required yourself to make something useful
for resolving your problems.
the challenge you face appears to be in rendering assistance to that friend
you've mentioned... but on another level, you appear worried that your
association might threaten your legacy in some manner.
my hunch is that you can help your friend in whatever matter they are
needing it, without concern for your well-being facing jeopardy.
[maybe that missing part was a "fear reducer": courage?]

before i went to bed i asked my guide to come to me in my dreams as im now capable of remembering them better.
and this was the result. couldn't be more spot on. the friend may be a result of trying to reach out to them right before bed. but your interpretation of that would be spot on as well. nothing i can do with that right now as its no longer in my hands.

But the chord cutting might be the case as well.
i cut all chords to this person numerous times. so there shouldn't have been any. but i could also see this as well. much to think on...
