David, My Valiant Friend
 

I received text message from David's brother, Frank, that he has succumbed to his illnesses. The sun is streaming in my window here at 7:37 a.m., so wonderful for David to have 'good traveling weather'. About three months ago, mid-March is when David landed in the hospital with pneumonia and out-of-control diabetes (which he refused to believe he had). I've written about him extensively in my Going for the Gold myspace thread here at SF. I'll be back to tell you more about him.
