What crystal is this?
 

The guy I bought it from told me its powers were related to the third eye and spiritual awakening but I'd like to know the name of the stone in order to research it some more. If anyone could tell me the name I'd be extremely grateful.

It looks to me like a very good Blue Kyanite.
Maybe you should wait for other opinions because I've never seen such a beautiful crystal before.

I would agree it looks like Blue Kyanite. When highly polished it takes on quite a luster.
